Dr Prasansha has done her graudation from Maharashtra Institute of Medical Sciences and then pursued post graduation from Himalayan Institute of Medical Sciences. After completion of her Masters in Ophthalmology, she followed her passion for oculoplasty by doing a 3 years dedicated fellowship from the prestigious L V Prasad Eye Institute in Oculoplasty, Orbit and Ocular Oncology. Doing her fellowship, she had the opportunity to work with some of the best Oculoplasty surgeons in the country.
She developed special interest in dacryology during her fellowship and she was fortunate to learn Endoscopic Dacryocystorhinostoimy (endoscopic DCR) form a World renowned expert Dr Javed Ali. Now she is the first and the only ophthalmologist to perform Endoscopic-DCR in Bihar and neighboring states.
Besides her interest in Dacryology, her areas of expertise are Lid surgeries, orbit, socket reconstruction, ocular oncology, trauma, botox injection etc. She has done extensive work and research in Thyroid eye disease under Dr Suryasnata Rath and Dr Milind Naik.
She is an accomplished academician and has published papers in several peer reviewed journals and actively participates in national and international conferences. She is an invited speaker for many prestigious meetings across the world and has been appreciated for her work in the field of Oculoplasty. She is an active member of All Indian Ophthalmological Society, Oculoplasty Association of India, Bihar Ophthalmological Society.
