Dr. Ashish after graduating from Maulana Azad Medical College in Delhi pursued his post-graduate training at Aravind Eye Hospital, Madurai. He then did his fellowship in cornea and refractive surgery at the same institute, followed by 2 years of faculty position in the department of Cornea at Aravind Eye Hospital, Madurai. He is now gone to Singapore for a further advanced fellowship in Cornea at Singapore National Eye Centre.
He takes a special interest in corneal ulcers, keratoconus, allergic eye diseases, trauma, and contact lens rehabilitation. His passion is to provide affordable corneal transplantation to the people of Bihar. He routinely performs all kinds of corneal surgeries like pterygium surgery, corneal lamellar keratoplasty, LASIK, femto lasik, keratoprosthesis, amniotic membrane, and limbal stem cell transplantation. Apart from this, he has experience doing more than 10000 cataract surgery.
He actively participates in several conferences and is an invited speaker for national and international conferences. He has authored chapters and published papers on different topics. Likewise, He is an active member of professional bodies like European Society of cataract and refractive society(ESCRS), Asia Corneal Society, Cornea Society of India, All India Ophthalmological Society, Delhi Ophthalmological Society, Bihar Ophthalmological Society etc.
